Skärgårdspaddling med fikastopp

If you would like your own guide on your kayak paddle trip, it is possible to book with us. You can see the available dates for guided kayak tours in the online store. It is possible to participate in single kayak (K1) or double kayak (K2). Perfect if you are unsure about kayaking in an sea environment or perhaps have never tried it before or if you want to be guaranteed to see all the best places in the archipelago, our experienced guides will take you there. The tour is adapted to suit the weather, wind & kayaking experience in the group. Everything according to your wishes! On this tour we usually stop for some coffee, rest & possibly a swim in the sea for those who wish.

  • Time required: approx. 3 hours (if you have other requests for time, please contact us and we will see what we can arrange)
  • Difficulty: Adapted to the group's wishes - Soft Adventure or perhaps a little kayak surfing - Your choice!
  • Prerequisites: No previous kayaking experience needed, normal good physique.
  • Included: Fully equipped kayak incl. life jacket & private guide & "Swedish Fika" with coffee/tea/juice and cinnamon bun
  • Number of participants: 4-8 people

Gourmet kayaking - for the adventurous life-lovers!

Here comes a tour with the little extra or how about a guide, fully equipped kayak & 3-course menu included - it does not get easier! The menu can be chosen as sea-inspired or vegetarian (same for the whole party). We pick up the food from our partner restaurants and prepare the last touch at the Traniga kitchen out on the rocks in the middle of the archipelago with the sea around us - of course it's wonderful!

Included: fully equipped kayak incl. life jacket & guide, menu + non-alcoholic drink & coffee/tea

Family paddling with pancake stop!

A family adventure where we use our two double kayaks so that even the children have the chance to come out on sea. It takes 2 adults who are relatively experienced kayakers who can steer in the back while the children sit in front and paddle at the best of their ability. When the power or possibly the patience of the little ones has run out, we stop at a suitable bathing place and fry pancakes in the Traniga kitchen, which is served with jam & cream. Of course, there will be pancakes for both large and small kayakers :-)

On this trip you can be a maximum of 4 people in our two double kayaks, 2 adults & 2 children. If you have more children over the age of 16, these can also be included in their own kayak, provided that there is one free to reserve. Contact us in that case and we will help you with the booking.

  • Time required: 3-4h
  • Difficulty: Medium, the adults in the party must be able to handle a double kayak more or less themselves.
  • Prerequisites: The adults in the party need basic kayak knowledge (tested a few times) and normal physique
  • Included: Fully equipped kayaks incl. life jacket & private guide, pancakes with jam & cream + non-alcoholic drink & coffee/tea
  • Number of participants: max 4 people – if more people contact us for help with booking

Courses

Basic course - Kayak

Basic and comprehensive course for beginners! You will learn the basics of kayaking to be able to continue on your own. Vi arrangerar några tillfällen per sommar. Kika i vår webbutik för att se vilka datum som är aktuella.

Included: Get in- and out of the kayak at jetty & beach, paddling techniques, steering techniques, safety principles incl. peer rescue in practice (test in the water) and basic knowledge of the right of public access.

  • Time required: 3-4h depending on weather and group size
  • Prerequisites: No previous kayaking experience needed, normal good physique.
  • Included: Fully equipped kayak incl. life jacket & instructor
  • Antal deltagare: max 10 personer

Joint Group Tours

If time permits, we also organize some joint group tours that are usually popular and fun to join. Below is a brief description of the tours we offer. No previous kayaking experience is required to join our group tours.

Girls Only Paddeling!

This tour was a success from the first start when it was launched with us in 2018 and is still just as popular. We paddle together in a small group with only girls. We start at the kayaks and go through the basics of kayaking and safety principles. Then we head out to the day suitable place for a break and coffee. The pace is calm and the route is adapted to suit the group as well as weather and wind.

Kayak & Yoga on the Cliffs!

In this tour well-being is in focus. We combine kayaking at a leisurely pace with a wonderful yoga session in the middle of the cliffs in the archipelago with the North Sea around us. Sure sounds great! No previous kayaking experience or yoga knowledge is needed.

  • Time required: 5h
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Prerequisites: No previous kayaking experience or yoga knowledge required, normal good physique.
  • Included: Fully equipped kayak incl. life jacket & guide, yoga mat and yoga instructor.

Rules & Information

General

  • The age limit for booking is 18 years or in the company of a parent.
  • To rent or participate in our activities & courses, you must be able to swim 200m
  • In the event of any material damage to the equipment, the customer is liable for compensation.
  • All paddling takes place at your own risk and responsibility.
  • Smögens Kajakäventyr AB has no insurances that cover any. accident incident incl. physical and / or property damage. Please review your own insurance situation.
  • For safety reasons at e.g. In bad weather, Smögens KajakÄventyr always has the right to cancel or move bookings and then notify the customer no later than the same morning as the booking applies. Of course, the booking canceled by Smögens KajakÄventyr entails a full refund.
  • By booking rental via Smögens KajakÄventyr, the customer agrees to these rules and information.

Kayak & SUP (rental)

  • The rental price (SUP) includes: SUP board incl fen & foot leash, paddle, life jacket, pump and our own nautical chart for the local area.
  • The rental price (kayak) includes: kayak, paddle, cockpit canpoy/cover, life jacket, sponge, pump & our own nautical chart for the local area
  • Safety briefing for kayaking and adjusting the kayaks' footrests to the rudder are available via our Youtube canal in Swedish & English
  • To book self-service, knowledge of kayaking or SUP paddling in an ocean/sea environment and pair rescue is required.
  • Self-service bookings are not refundable, so make sure the weather & especially the wind is good before you book.

Guided tours & Courses

  • Cancellation & rebooking of guided tours & courses is done free of charge if notified at least 7 days before the planned start. If notified later than 7 days before the planned start, it is fine to change the date up to 2 times per booking or get a gift card to book another product with us (rebooking is only permitted in the same year & the gift card is only valid in the same year) Products that have not been rebooked within the same year or more than 2 times and gift cards that have not been used in the same year expire without compensation)
